Sorry Ptlman - it's on the intranet, at work. We're not one of those classy outfits that have been de-castigated.........

Re: 19 'Shite' Brigade
For those who remain interested - the whole shooting match goes under the title project HALIFAX. Bung that in a search engine at work and you should get what you want. Sorry - that's the limit of my 'expertise!'

Re: 19 'Shite' Brigade
I understand that 19 Bde will still be available as a light brigade, deployable for medium scale peace keeping ops and that there will be a fourth inf bn attached to it to make it a viable option.

Re: 19 'Shite' Brigade
I would guess that 19Bde will be moving to NI sometime pretty soon to normalisation being declared normal. Wasn't that about 2007? As their role will be light all arms support across the world, I do not think they will be doing much NI stuff (if there is any to do at all then) but will be flying all over the shop practicing guarding detention centres, securing routes and protecting points of entry. Between that, they will support our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo etc...
Despite the glamour attached to this job, I don't think it will be 16AA without Apache. More like 19 Mech Bde without the Saxons...

Re: 19 'Shite' Brigade
19 Bde will move to NI and/or Scotland (spread to the four winds!) and 4 Bde will move to Catterick. Timeframe 3 - 5 years.
UKSC(G) inside knowledge. Work your plans around that.

Did you mean to say that out loud, or are you talking across threads?

Can we afford to build new barracks? Or are there some spare Cormec's we can use?
