Re: The truth at last – You all love Liverpool FC
by amusing, I think you mean...
Gerrard dived again - Everton had two nailed on penalty's denied - Kuyt should have seen a red card, no questionUnfortunatly, young Jamie Inglis lost his battle with cancer. RIP brave lad.

And that sort of comment really brings it home as to why you are so so detested.

Couldn't give a flying shite if we're detested or not (and incidentally, we're not by most outside of Everton and Man Utd).

The results made interesting reading with 15% of all those asked revealing Liverpool would be their 'second' team or the club they'd most like to achieve success after their own side.
Liverpool topped the pool by a clear 5% with West Ham United and Wigan coming in second and third respectively. Aston Villa finished bottom of the Premiership popularity table with Arsenal and Chelsea completing the relegation places.
What happened at Hysel was terrible, but the ban was a culmination of a decade of English hooliganism not a punishment for one night and one team.

No, it wasn't. It was because of the actions of YOUR fans that saw the death of 39 people.

So why wasn't it just Liverpool banned from European competition?

There were incidents involving other clubs, of course there were, but it was YOUR FANS that KILLED 39 fans of another club that caused the ban.
As a Liverpool fan, you, more than anyone else should appreciate that you should not go to a game and die.
Wasn't the polices fault, or pissed up arrses turning up late and causing the stewards to open gates, it was the disgraceful behaviour of the Loveable Reds.
You know it, and in typical RS manner, don't accept it."Is it a crime to hit a student across the back of the head with a snooker ball in a sock?"

So why didn't UEFA just ban Liverpool? Beacause Hysel and the ban were the culmination of years of twats following English clubs in Europe.
