There may be some info in there, a lot of small local shops still exist, find one local that offers a better service than halfords or Evans. Stick a piture up of your new steed it is arrse after all.

Excellent this edifying display has not improved my view of cyclists. Using it for work? Good, pay some tax and insurance as some sort of recompense for holding everyone else up.
And while I'm here a green tax for tearing up our off roads, lanes and towpaths.

I'm sorry, but I appear to have lost track.

Did we establish that Halfords are populated by mongs flogging tat? Evans too eh?

What about Buzz vs PrinceAlbert? Pro-Halfords gobshite (I suspect he may work there due to his limited vocabulary) vs someone who is actually offering insight rather than abuse?

Have we actually managed to solve the original dilemma as posted? Oh, I thought not. But that would be boring....

In your own time, carry on, either Buzz or PA will fall when (if) hit.......

Don't buy anything off Dave Hinde - the shop with the huge centre page spread in the middle.

He has been prosecuted about half a dozen times by trading standards, google him and the results are not good.

You see Tossers here is the trick, if you feel the need to fib like you do all the time you really should not pretend to be someone as important to the history of cycling as Dr Moulton or Mike Burrows as that's just massive over reach, it's like claiming to be special forces to impress people and you will just end up looking like a big timing twat.

If you like I could email Tom Ritchey and see if he like's you taking credit for showing Gary Fisher how to make frames, unless you are claiming you taught him as well.

Now shit off you lying cunt.

By the way before you go, spelling pedants are going to that special level of hell...the one normaly reserved for child molesters and people who talk in the cinema.
Dear me, what an angry teddy. Seems like you're compensating for some major inadequacy - perhaps Halfords sacked you from your saturday job for saying 'gnarly' 'rad' and 'dude' too much... Obviously you're an extra special kind of guy and like to think you're the only one who knows anything. I expect you've read all the Andy McNab books too...

Look troll if you really like I can explain to admin why you are lying.

If this was discussion about physics you would claim to be Steven Hawking.

Claiming to be one of the pivotal figures in both the emergence of the MTB and british frame building as well just proves what a bullshitter you are, especialy when you lay claim to Tom Ritcheys work.

You must remember him, that chap who worked with Gary Fisher on his frames and all that?

    Enjoy the banning.

Now that I've run out of popcorn....agree what was said earlier about halfords.....you can get a damn good bike for your money, but don't expect the quality of staff to be any better than abysmal. As I've heard from several others who've experienced the same...buy the bike and then get it set up/serviced at a local bike shop - preferably one that you can trust and/or has good reviews (they can be hit-and-miss as well). I got a Boardman a couple of months back...love the bike but hacked off with the service from halfords.

Can you girls hang on till I get a cup of tea before you resume??? thanks awfully.

Ignoring the Jackanory merchant claiming to be the 5th Beatle of the cycling world I was going to say give EBC a whirl if you are up north.

    Revolution Cross '12

For just over £400 a basic cyclo-cross bike ticks the boxes as well if it's being used on road and on the odd rough bit and towpath.
