I have had a brain wave so extreme it made my eyelids go black and blue. Why not....get a bloke who can score loads of quality International goals, is a great motivator, is not self centred, is trust-worthy, a good ambassador for the sport and for England and has great charisma. Ok, right. Get him to be Captain of the England Football team.

(My top tip would be to get a single top three club to field 70% of their team at a time. Then just use that captain to be ...captain. Teams get the honour in rotation and get an extra point of two in their leagues if this duty coincides with club games. It would get UK clubs to attract more decent British players as well, also encourage more of them to get thru the club system. Works all round. I have prepared a 14578558 page document for FIFA if anyone wants it.)
