Discuss Formula 1 - 2012 season in Sports, Adventure Training and Events on The Army Rumour Service; Nobody (apart from Schumacher and Ferrari lovers) likes to see domination of F1, and to see someone else rising rising to challenge the established teams, as Braun did, can only be a good thing IMO....

IMHO, they will never get anywhere without strong leadership (something they had in abundance on both the pitwall and from the driving side in the Brawn-Schumacher era) as the team just implodes into empire building and infighting...the management isnt there to bring it all together and alonso hasnt got the character to stamp his authority on the team either.
An excerpt from the link above: The Italian added that the increasing reliance on aerodynamics in Formula One does not sit well with him.

    "I don't like this F1," he asserted.

"The aerodynamics count for 90% and only the KERS make developments possible that can be used in the production of road going cars".

Exactly, rip the wings off. Use all the HP you want, but you get it onto the track via mechanical means only. F1 went off the tracks about 40 odd years ago as far as I am concerned. My opinion only, your mileage may vary.

Di Montezemolo is a gobshite - if Ferrari had their aero sorted and they were on the front row, would he be expressing the same concerns then?? would he fcuk.

Enjoyed the race, great result for Button,IMHO Vettel second only because of the SC,disappointed with Mercedes, very impressed with some of the smaller teams.

Think it's a bit of a piss take if you want to watch edited highlights on the Beeb,23:00,FFS!

Agreed, RoofRat. Vettel was lucky to gain second place, the result flattered him. Alonso (whining twat) was also lucky to be where he finished, there were other great battles further down the field which made for a thoroughly interesting race.

The SC was a shame, Jenson would have won by a country mile with a McLaren 1-2.

agreed, the SC was bullshit - the car was nowhere near a corner or the racing line and it could easily have been cleared by marshals under waved yellows IMO. but you have to make it 'entertaining' to the great unwashed havent you???

The whole concept of the SC is bullshit as far as I'm concerned. Yellow flags at the portion of the track affected is all that is needed.
