Did my first ParkRun at Eastleigh today....Yaaaay PB !
.....it's simple...it works....
about 200 people steaming and blowing over the frozen grass of the Wide Lane playing fields..friendly,well-organised and free......I enjoyed it so much I went straight home and had a big FatBoy breakfast and a pint of coffee.....to save aggro if I come out to play again I'll give them my Mobile number to get the result texted - which is a good service.
on,on !

Glad you enjoyed them. I hope you've joined your local running club - PM if you want to know about Soton Athletics Club.

Who is this THEM of whom you speak - and since 2000 I've been debating joining a proper club ( and perhaps becoming a 'proper' runner too) ......had a look around and still haven't grasped the nettle ...there are 3 clubs nearer to me than Soton AC to be honest - and a nice lady from Lordshill RC propositioned me at Wide Lane only last week
....if I bite the bullet I'll PM you ...meanwhile the Wednesday night run at David Lloyd is looking a good way fwd.

ah, I presumed it was the start of a glorious relationship with the parkruns ;)
