Well with respect, they want more money-who the hell do they think they are? Afterall that would cut the profits and we can't have that. Besides they get, i think £400 a month which is way more than jobseekers. Anyway Mandella changed everything didn't he? [Yes I know isn't it awful] but we must remember those hard hit multinationals.

The problem in SA is that people want salary increases but their productivity is (in general) going down.

C4 news showed the police recovering at least on pistol from a body and showed extensive footage of Jamaican butter knives and pointed implements being wheedled by people that have already killed ten people including two policemen and two security guards. It seemed quite justified on video as they were charging armed at a dramatically out numbered police line. Their fire control was appalling and could have ceased fire much sooner however if that had been the London riots I would have been cheering the police on to spray fire into the mob.

"If however you offer to moderate you may be a sanctimonious, unfunny pissflap to your heart's content."
Some comments are allegedly "very very nasty and uncalled for."

Reports I have read indicated that the mob of strikers were armed with machetes, spears and handguns. They were charging full speed. IMHO the shooting was justified. One article indicate that among the arms were the weapons of the police officers murdered by strikers three days ago.
If I was one of the police officers I certainly would have fired.Nuair a chacann caora, cacann siad uilig

Had it been the London riots the police would have been criticised for dressing aggressively and not trying to engage with rioters (as if it were a protest) until the wheel came off ofcourse... Then they would have been criticised for not doing mounted charges day and night/eating the ring leaders.
