or a plastic AirSoft gun that fires a white plastic pellet with a muzzle energy of 1 Joule. I have 18 Section 1 firearms here in UK, but I can't, it seems, be trusted with an AirSoft 'weapon'.
And you folks get peeved and hissy when the rest of the shooting world laffs at the gun law antics over here...

I like the '...deadly Dumb-Dumb [sic] bullets...'
And the total fuck-ups that are continually being made of our ranks......'here we have Lt Col Nameless...well, Lt Col, what is YOUR take on........'
I also recall a WO1 [SMIG] ofthe Royal Artillery from Larkhill being interviewed by a swoopy young thing from Radio Swindon or something like it......' And here, to tell us all about it, is Woy Smig from the Artillery Royal gun school at Larkhill..'

I liked the Sunday Telegraph reporter who informed us that .22 target rifle shooters use a scope sight on their rifle.
No sooner did we form into teams than we were re-organised.
I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet every situation by re-organising and what a wonderful method it is for giving the illusion of progress whilst only producing confusion, inefficiency & demoralisation.

And that shows exactly why we are doomed in this country to have most gun ownership outlawed -
Joe public or at least the law abiding non gangsta ones are so removed from anything gun related that most of their knowledge comes from either films where we all know mags hold 100's of rounds or from the numpty press who class an airgun as a leathal weapon capable of killing or maiming from hundreds of metres....
what ever happend to kids playing "war" or cowboys and injuns when you and your mates knew every weapon and how many rounds they held and woe beteide anyone who didn't take their shots or shouted bang when their mag was "empty", played with sticks and heaven forbid carried sheath knives every where we went.
Strangely enough we have all grown up to be mostly good citizens with our own kids and without a need to carry a gun or knife to feel like we are a man or to gain " respec init "
