Mine has two, and one is a "du-luxe" version with colour case hardened action and a walnut stock with lots of figure. The bluing is fantastic. Unfortunately the forends on these versions never matched the stocks (I am told). Puchased for an embarrasingly low price. Proofed to 1 and 1/4 oz and choked "full". Brilliant.
And as I found out by accident a Brown bess bayonet fits like a glove!

I was bored that day. yes great guns for futtering around in the rough. usually take the Greener or another favorite of mine a single barrel Baikal that cost me a fiver. very under rated shotguns.
Haven't had an accident in years. See a lot in my rear view mirror though.

It's very unlucky to be superstitious.

I have two, a standard one and a second with Greener's own multichoke. The spare choke is stored in the forend. Remove both and you have cylinder bore and a muzzle brake! Must fit a bayonet.

I rarely contribute to threads where experts are talking, but the one poncey arse shoot I attend is down around CB Inn. With a chum of mine who likes to invite banker types from London. Who rock up with all manner of matched Purdeys and God knows what sort of engraved exotica. I borrow a Spanish thing from my cousin who is a gamekeeper. It has a plastic stock.

He actually used to come into the shop reasonably often. Never bought a gun but always decked himself out in decent clobber.

Nice bloke, always happy to pose for pictures with the office girls downstairs etc.

I rocked up to my brother's 10 gun shoot with my browning semi, mix of walked up and driven with the guns taking turns at the beating. At the end of the day I'd shot 50% of the pheasants and both of the woodcock.

It is fair to say I was hideously embarrassed when I realised none of these pukka chaps were capable of hitting the proverbial barn. (The bag for the day was 14 pheasants plus bits and bobs)

i shouldnt worry half of them claim its a social event mainly because they cant be bothered once a fortnight to take some clays in.
Last time I was in Purdeys I was wearing cycling shorts and vest and stopped by to collect 1000 28 bore cartridges. The salesman was most apologetic that they werent logo'd up!
Me I was just glad to get out of their before enough footage of me appeared on the security cameras in my going home gear!
