Here's a quick pic of my Swiss Karabiner Model 1931. Although it has to said that it isn't a "Schmidt-Rubin" and nor is any other K31 . Rudolf Schmidt was dead when this weapon was designed under Colonel Furrer at the by Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik in Bern and so played no part in its design. Although a straight-pull like the Schmidt-Rubins, its bolt action is very different. Having said that it does, of course, fire 7.5 mm Swiss GP11 round designed by Lt. Col. Eduard Rubin for the Schmidt-Rubin. This example came from my Swiss Brother-outlaw.

Serpently not. It's just my innate pedantry kicking in. And I don't have a pedantic problem with Model 31 anyway.

You clearly have good taste, I was beginning to think nobody did!
It was made probably in 1876 and modified by the maker to rebounding hammers in 1891, completely original condition.

Had this for about a year, brilliant target rifle, but a fiddly little bugger to get it set up properly. Unfortunately, due to the fact that trying to get a Uni shooting team to do anything fullbore related is a nightmare, I don't get to use it anywhere near often enough.
