And yet, people like AlGore, the High Priest of Climate Change is wittering on about measuring temperature differences of .2 of a degree over a period of decades and using that to predict with absolute certainty what will happen in 50 years time.
And how's that new Ice Age the experts were predicting in the 80's coming on?
Oh, and really - your argument is that because the weathermen are a bit crap global warming doesn't exist and isn't cuased by humans? THAT is your big argument?
Really mate, you need to put down the Jeremy Clarkson book and step away from the internet.
It isn't caused by humans Bazz.
Go take a long hard look at the figures, mankinds imact is miniscule.
A government scientist was on here saying it is. You are saying it isn't.
Gosh, who to believe
Well whet old son, a 'government' scientist eh? Must be one if he says so, just like you claim not to be a slacking fvcker after 9 years on the dole.
Tel you what Whet, go get a job and you MIGHT gain some credibility round here…
By the way, I'm a rocket scientist, trust me, it's true!.

You would do yourself a huge favour by believing neither
Go and read the figures for yourself, while you are at it read the historical ice core data and work it out for yourself.
Don't take my word for it, I couldn't care less if you believe me or not, don't take a government scientists word for it either as all you will hear is the government line on it.
Go on, go figure it out for yourself.....
Anyway… as I always tell these climate change hippies, the Earth will last for a long as I need it, and when they wah 'but what about the children'… as I tell them, it will give the little buggers something to do.
Just my tuppence worth!
Look at a globe or map of the world, and when you eventually find GB you will see that it is so small that it wouldn't matter if it was covered in burning lorry tyres. ffs there are active volcanoes pumping out more on a daily basis than the uk ever will....so until you find a way of turning them off I'll keep my 100watt bulb .

Wise words. I'm virtually on the fence in the strict sense regarding anthropogenic origins of climate change. I think the community needs a few people who are sceptical and who question the consensus, else we're not very good at our jobs.
As a 'Government scientist' I couldn't give a feck what the 'party line' is. Most scientists have no idea anyway. We lobbied for years, then some man in a blue suit took it and ran with it and made it political. I think at times their claims are exaggerated.
Saying all that though, I'm sitting at my desk right now looking at a satellite-derived plot of ozone pollution over a Chinese city, at 10 times the normal level. Ozone is an irritant, destroying plants and lung tissue that brings on asthma and all sorts of nasty things, particularly in children. It goes hand in hand with fossil fuel burning as a secondary pollutant. So I don't buy this 'man's influence is nothing' line at all. Ozone's just one (thankfully short-lived) gas. CO2 is long lived and well mixed, with a finite sink and an increasing source.
