    Chaps (and ladies),

Morning, nice to see Krefeld still has a good following! Did first tour there 98-01, can't help thinking I know a fair few of you. Was 231 for my time there, Tech, and ran the ERV at film city in Kosovo 99 then the bar for the latter part of my tour! PM me if you think you know who I am, would love to catch up with a few people......

To add to the parade square rumour, did anyone hear the version where the first diver dissappeared and the second one refused to go down? That I seem to remember was rife for a while whilst I was serving there.

To agree with many of you, bloody brilliant tour, worked with a cracking load of blokes whilst there

And then over the border we went. I went back to my own Squadron at the Film City, and again we had some unbeliveable nights. The Squadron OC was normally the one leading the way, and although we tried not many could keep up with his drinking capacity. Even MJ the ARRC Commander used to comment on the fact we knew how to play. Only the CO tried to stop it, but he was put in his place in no uncertain terms.
I will remember forever the numerous times watching the sun come up in the morning and then having to go back to my det and do a shift. Great times.
I should definately know you supertramp, I was your friendly barman! PM me please matey.

I was there 90-93 with 16 SR. I happened to be driving past Krefeld last weekend and decided to drop by and take a look. Its being used for various businesses now and a lot of it is very overgrown. The NAAFI is boarded up. The, then, new flats behind are used by boxheads now. The little tree that was out the back of my old place is a huge great big thing now The whole area seems to have changed, but I guess it has been 15 years, and also somehow - smaller. Didn't have my phone so didn't take any pictures, sorry.

Good deal on the Sahara thing. Bet it wasn't the Disco you had in them days though
It was the very same Disco Coped very well, no mods, just took an additional spare wheel (just had the one puncture all trip).

Can't really name names, but don't you recall a certain crewmember locking themselves in the back of the Rover on the last exercise we went on before deploying out to Sarajevo - Drinks doing his nut! Skiving tart didn't deploy either - thank crunchy, she'd have probably got someone killed - think she ended up stagging on in the Ops room in Krefeld on her fat arse - drawing the same pay as the rest of the lads and lasses out in the boonies.

    Grrrrrrr
I remember that incident. I was about 5 metres away on another det listening to Drinks_alone tried to coax her from the landrover. One of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Believe me, I wanted to coax her out with a singing shovel, but even 13 years ago it wasn't acceptible (Christ, was it all so long ago). Endex called early as we were all going off for our winter hols in Sarajevo (remember being out on the speed-skating track digging through the snow!)

    Happy days.....

Nope, 232, Drinks troop.... All the radio dets set up outside the stadium and 30 Sigs came along later and set up the 501 next to us - they had to let the tyres down on their Rover to fit under the entrance way.

two tours at dear departed "Bradbury Barracks" will be sorely missed (pissed) 16 sigs at its best the fisrt time in 77/80. But still as entertaining the second time round after PIU :D :D
