Celle is a great city and I have really good memmories of the place and the people, but then again I didnt cause the locals any grife and tried my best to promote a positive image of an Englishman (Anglo-Saxon) rather than a drunked "Tommy". Germany is my favorite country next to England, I really enjoyed my time there with the RAR.
Well, you guys were very welcome indeed after the guerilla war we had with 3 RGJ. A real bunch of gentlemen.
I remember running through the park with my oppo after a chinese, served by the ever efficient Jason. Reason being there was an ambush by 3 RGJ blokes. As we went round the fishpond and made for the small bridge, Jock McG****n and a few of HIS mates came round the corner and whilst we got away, the others had a good ole brawl. I was quite glad when The Poachers arrived.

Zoffo..Remeber that exercise very well, as I was K and we formed with J for that fiasco. Ex. Able A***r I think it was, apparently the Sovs went onto a nuclear count down because of us j******g instead of Scr*****g.

Remember crashing out and SSM T**mo standing there in his white long Johns. Shouting and balling about being woken up etc. Why should Britain tremble

I enjoyed my time at Celle with some great lads. Good pubs, some great laughs and scraps with the RGJ!

There was the obvious banter between the Poachers and 14 Sigs, that was normal. But I didn't think it was as bad as with 3 RGJ. I can't remember who took over from us (Poachers) at Trenchard Barracks, but from what I heard the town went downhill. There was a mass increase of stabbings and then the turks took over.
My name is Moe, although some women like to call me 'Hey you in the bushes!'

Since the beginning of recorded time, history has been written by the "winners"!

The Poachers were a good mob, beers together in the Popcorn and tons of it at the schutzenfest whilst the Poachers band played oompah music for the masses!

I left quite some time before you lot did so luckily missed the stabbings and so on - in fact that would have been as it was with 3 RGJ!!

The Turks (Guest workers) were always causing problems, I never had any time for them to be honest, they always seemed to be up to no good. As for the green jackets, talking to a now friend of mine who served in the 3 RGJ around the time I served with the 2nd Bn in Celle (although I didnt know him then) he said "they had a bad eliment that was left unchecked and just got out of control". I am glad we (Poachers) didnt let the side down and can hold our heads up high!
The truth is out there, but you must open your eyes to see it!

What ever happened to T** Har****on?

And is it right that Paddy Sh***wood the mad Irishman was killed in a car accident just after he left the Army?

I also heard that P***l R****ey ex 2 sqn SSm died of an heart attack in 1999 ish.

With regards to RGJ wasn't the 3rd Battalion disbanded because of their poor disciplinary record and the Army got hacked off with it, and chopped them at the first opportunity?
