    3M Crimplok repair kits

Have any of the mechs out there had experience of using 3M Crimplok ST fibre repair kits? I'm looking for something to carry out running repairs to ST fibre which, above all, must be cheap.

Any advice on these kits would be greatly appreciated.

Never used it but it looks a good bit of kit. Saves arrsing around with epoxy and syringes.

One of my major problems is trained personnel - this looks like something that could be done by someone who isnt properly fibre trained. I'm going for the good enough for government work end of the market!

Indeed. A basic understanding of fibre (i.e. no right angles please ) and a bit of messing around in the office looks good enough for the 3M kit. Its good that it uses ST and SC ends also.
