Looks like the crew from the second jet didn't make it,wreckage in the clip below is of the gun bay door which is in the cockpit area.

Thoughts are with the missing aircrew & their families.

Very speculative! There is always hope. They could have banged out?

Two not been found yet though. Without wanting to write them off, a night in the sea up there can't be good for you even with all the survival kit that pilots carry these days.

It's not an 'incident' - there is nothing contrived about two fast jets happening to share the same air-space in the fog. It's a tragic accident.

Possibly but the PLB's would have gone off (the's a link fitted between the cockpit & the seat that automatically sets off the PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) fitted to the seat) on ejection.
The aircrew would also be wearing immersion suits & carry individual radios & strobe lights & they sit on a box that is connected to them by lanyards, that contains a one man dinghy & other survival aids. The life jackets that they wear have a collar that automatically inflates on contact with water.

One of the crew that were picked up has died [6pm BBC news].

It is now accepted that the other two have also died.
