I expected to get what I get everywhere else; some banter amongst the seriousness, Again, in real life serious situations, such as selection or training, maybe even the job itself I cut the banter until all the work is done.
You really shouldn't base your view on someone on how they behave online.BARB - 68

Well yes I should if it finds flaws that show you are not suitable to a particular role.
You just don't know when to shut up do you? The Army has no tolerance of chopsy back answering fuckers, I wonder how many times you will get filled in in phase 1 before you learn.
There are many ATs and ATOs who view ARRSE, we are all drawn to threads such as this and now doubt all will be thinking do I want a gobby cunt like darylc working for me.
Being selected for AT is not a tick box exercise, you have to impress a panel of WOs and Officers sufficiently to be accepted into their trade.Play Torn - the online RPG many other ARRSErs are playing. Sign up using my link (below) and you will be well looked after.

My friend one of the most important traits of an AT/ATO is that they KNOW they made a mistake and vow never to make it again. You can stop digging now - the hole you are in is deep enough. Take a deep breath, go back to square one and start again. BTW we are a trade full of people with egos slightly larger than the orbit of the planet Jupiter - but it is not compulsory.
We ALL make/made mistakes - we learn from them. You can start now.
Good luck with your future.I'm the rootin'est, tootin'est........................

Rickshaw-major, I did apologise earlier for my mistake, I've merely been explaining how I made the mistake, not justifying it.
Again, sorry if the posts came across as arrogant, it wasn't my intention.
I'll stop digging now, I see I'm deep enoughBARB - 68

While I'm here can I ask just a few more question about the job?
In the first post, it says:
Your Class 2 trade training will take 8mths (25wks on website??) and will provide you with the foundation of knowledge required for your future career as an Ammunition Technician starting with an 8wk phase at RMC Shrivenham the remainder of the course being at the ASofA. You will be involved in mainly classroom work, learning about British ammunition, how it works, how to inspect, repair, store and dispose of it safely, with practical phases, either in the laboratory (an APB - Ammunition Process Building) or outside on the explosives demolition ground. On successful completion of this course, you will be promoted to LCpl and posted to one of the units listed below.
So it's 8 weeks at Shrivenham, 10 weeks at DST Leconsfield, 1 week induction at Princess Royal Barracks near Camberley and am I right in thinking 6 weeks at Kineton? to make up the 25 weeks? I seem to get different answers from different places, even the job brief my recruiter gave me was different from the army website.you will be sent to DST Leconsfield for about 10wks to qualify for your Car, Cat C or C+E licence, ie driving trucks.
This time I did actually research myself so I hope it isnt staring me in the face. Thanks.BARB - 68

No, 25 Weeks at kineton (of which 8 weeks are the Shrivenham phase). That is your phase 2 training.
Then back to Camberley until you go to Leconsfield and from there to your first unit.Born to make big holes in small counties!
