Wow you thought that through. If you are gonna ask for advice then don't get cocky about it. As has been said you never know who on here could be on your selection board or if you make it that far your DS in Phase 1.
Daryl with a surname beginning with C isn't exactly common! If it sounds like a good idea - do it. It's easier to apologise than it is to get permission.
If you're not confused you're not paying enough attention

Small trade
Long memories and
lots of people who know and like dingerr
Maybe time for a name or trade-choice change Daryl
(I might have exagerated about liking him!)Officially classed as a Bigot by The Party - and proud of it!

Right, because how I behave online is eaxctly how I behave in real life. I know when to take things seriously, and when to take a laid-back approach and I assumed an internet forum hardly counted as being that serious. I never take online discussions seriously because, quite simply put, I don't take it seriously. If I had asked a recruiter or someone face to face, I'd take it a damn sight more seriously.

So what you're admitting is that you don't really have the ability to assess a situation and take appropriate action.
That wouldn't be so bad at your Pre-serving stage, however your inability to listen to sound advice and learn is of concern it shows you would be a difficult candidate to educate.
If your attitude is that you can get others to do your work for you, then gloat over it, then you're applying for the wrong trade - its far too busy for slackers.
I'll see you on selection, good luck.Play Torn - the online RPG many other ARRSErs are playing. Sign up using my link (below) and you will be well looked after.

And if Dingerr isn't on the selection, any one of us will be.
Phase one - basic training, Phase two trade training for recruits, Phase three trade training for trainined soldiers (either upgrading, or basic trade training for guys who are retrading).
Not that it's going to do you any good as you have managed to piss off guys who are on the selection board, instructors at the school and who will be your bosses in the units. Not a bad start.
I hope that you have the opportunity to save some orphans from a burning building – that might just make up for your attitude.
Not that we are vindictive!Born to make big holes in small counties!

I tried posting this earlier. It didn't work so here goes nothing:
I’m not sure if it’s just “Pick on the new guy” or if you are genuinely offended/upset by what I put. If it’s the second one then I am genuinely sorry. Honestly.
When I speak to friends or when I post on other forums, posts like my previous one would not be seen as offensive or cocky, merely as off the cuff jokes. I did not mean it to be offensive, I meant it to be a laugh. I was considering putting a “smiley” but from what I’ve seen of this forum, smiley’s are not the done thing.
Also, I’ve not been on this forum long, therefore I’ve not been able to accurately gauge where the line is drawn and where certain jokes can be posted and others not.
As mentioned earlier, I change my attitude and levels of seriousness depending on the situation. I don’t consider online forums to be serious; therefore I don’t take it seriously. Real life situations, like my 1st interview next week, I take incredibly seriously. I didn’t realise that this post warranted the “Very serious” attitude, therefore I thought a remark that I didn’t consider to be ‘that’ bad was inappropriate.
Don’t judge me based on online appearances, if you meet me face to face you will find out that I am actually dfferent to how you perceive me based on this thread on this forum.
That did make me chuckle admittedlyBARB - 68

So you want to ask a serious question then expect a serious answer whilst you fuck about?
It brings into doubt your ability to function in a mature manner.
When you undergo selection you are observed and reported on during your waking hours, we know about DS watchers and their methods.
I feel you need to develope before attempting to be an AT. A couple of years as a Private will do you some good, because I doubt you would be worthy of the rank of Lance Coporal upon completion of the AT course.Play Torn - the online RPG many other ARRSErs are playing.
