Re: EOD in the Private Sector.
Good advice. One of the best quals, which is quick to get, is to get PRINCE2 Project Management qualified. More chance of being a Project Manager then (= more dosh and less blowing things up).

Very little stand alone IEDD / Weapons Int work unless you go and work for HMS, ISSEE etc.
Also happy to help with links and contacts - just PM me.

Let me just put this hoary old story to bed...

2. IF we ever get to the point of compulsory mobilisation you are in the frame anyway (look at the small print - somewere after the bit about "Reserve Commitment"..). Frankly if this did happen, you are better to be on the inside of the loop and able to influence things, than on the outside...
3. Frankly in some of the places we go, do you REALLY want to go in as a civvie? (and the money ain't that bad)
We are also well placed to allow individuals to keep in touch with the trade (now the centre of gravity is moving from G to K). We seem to run quite a nice little in house employment agency...
Not bad for a fortnights paid holiday and a couple of weekends in the school telling war stories!
