Words always fail me for anyone who does this type of job, regardless of Service or cap badge.

Probably one of the most emotive awards in recent memory. Absolutely right and proper.
The pen is mightier than the sword - until you meet someone who has knowledge of simple chemistry, metal forging and ballistics.
Be warned: I bear malice.

Anyone who does that job deserves a gong, top blokes the lot.
I think Olaf was one of many exceptional individuals doing an extremely difficult job in relentless conditions. If its any comfort lads, we all appreciate what you and your mates do for us everyday, and I am sure most civvies do as well.Remember "A politician can make a man a general, only communications can make him a commander!"

This is still speculation surely.
I don't think it helps the case (even if IMHO it is clearly deserved), Shall we just wait and see?Officially classed as a Bigot by The Party - and proud of it!
