    Rossville Street?
The stopped clock of The Belfast Telegraph seems to indicate the
    time
Of the explosion - or was that last week's? Difficult to keep
    track:
Everything's a bit askew, like the twisted pickets of the
    security gate, the wreaths,
That approximate the spot where I'm told the night patrol
    went through.

Photo 3 , a LWB fitted with Claribel - what a waste of time money and effort that was!

I've got a fair few Phots from this period at home, but not really accessible from here There are plenty of old Regimental Journals and the like that will have pictures as well - i've a load from the early '80s, from Omagh 82-85, and probably a few from earlier.

Vehicles then - makroloned LR were about it, apart from a single Saracen - but that was a Gate Guardian. The CPVs were universally crap, and when driven by a CQMS who looked like a squaddie (as they all did) then pretty pointless too. CQMS B Coy, Barry Camille (God rest his Seychelle Soul) was very upset at being banned from driving CPVs, on the grounds that a 6'2" black man would not fit in with the local milieu.

Just been on Google Street view to try and pinpoint it without any luck. Spookily if you press the forward arrow when in street view it is like doing topcover around the Bogside. Just waiting for the bricks to slam into my visor on the Lecky flyover!

@Barkers... there was an Ambulance Saracen in FWR in 1985.

We did some guarding at the GOCs house near Belfast, he had some nice armoured stuff. Though the way they acted when we didnt open the gate on time, would make you think they werent.
