    acting rank

    hi. i am currently in acting rank of sergeant and have been for 8 month. the acting rank was given for the job of plt sgt F.S.G, but i have recently been diagnosed with chrones disease and now no longer able to deploy on operations and i have now been moved into welfare until the promotions board , can they take this acting rank from me??

    Yes, because they required a Sgt for the position of Plt Sgt FSG. If it is still a gapped post another Cpl may be given acting Sgt for the role.

    You should go back to substantive Cpl, unless there is a gapped Sgts post in welfare, but even then there's no guarantee you would get acting rank.
