Unless you're trg for Ops, he's not right - does he wear thick glasses?
We have tonight been warned off for our next 2 herrick tours back to back with 1 (Whole cmpy) then 7 rifles another 40 so i guess that's helped us, though i could be well off the mark
In that case, not off the mark but still optimistic. Being warned for Ops merely allows your unit to calculate MTD usage and request same from Brigade. They then apply to allocate said MTDs to your unit and woe betide you if you exceed them. It's not a licence to go back to the old MTD allocations, merely that you can have some for justified training - albeit that 1 MTD would be more than most are going to get.
Have Faith....it'll all be OK in the end (but then again, with the GCM and FR2020, maybe it won't be.....).

Hmm, the army preaches us: selfless commitment, courage, discipline, integrity, loyalty and respect for others

and you shouldn't trust someone who fails them..... catch me drift

    Sorry, ignore my last.

We had a quick show of hands who was going to turn in for C1 training and who wasn't. It was roughly 50-50, I could go on about how predictable it was who said yes etc, but they won't last without leadership

Well you'll all be glad to know that support to Home Ops signals are being allowed to train as it's very important and they supply crucial troops to the nation in it's hour of need. You never know a cat may get stuck in a tree and they will be called out by the civil powers to assist in their highly trained manner.

OC was still waiting for a proper briefing from CoC but reckoned recruiting would carry on and otherwise wait for further news.

Yes Ex stab recruiting is to continue, but its far from clear who is going to issue your webbing, drive you to RTC weekends and maybe give you the odd Tuesday night lesson between RTC weekends. It may be an unpaid volunteer paying his own petrol to get there, or a PSI.

News from our CO: we're having a C1 themed Autumn and Winter.

Suddenly, I feel compelled to move my main residence 50 miles away from my TAC. Would someone kindly pass me the code for DII and my JPA account.

I really feel sorry for all those guys who took up ADC and gave up work to do it. Since Cat A training has been chopped and ADC has no travel entitlement, even at the lowly regular rate, coming in for 8 days a month makes no financial sense.

I'm looking forward to answers to all those other pertinent questions on mess bills, bounty payments and who's is going to train those heading off to HERRICK. Let's forget the glorious homecoming provided for all those who have just returned from Mobilised or FTRS commitments and the word Retention.

It really hasn't been this bad since the late 60's has it when, another similarly coloured, government forced the TA into cadres?

Once Bounty qualification has been confirmed, I can't see many turning up who really need the cash the TA provides, unless it's for a social.
