Its much more logical than you think, its just that soldiers only have themselves to worry about and MCM need to cater for the bigger picture. They cannot hope to always meet everyones demands (some very unrealistic) and must man the Corps against the set priorities. There are no black books up there trust me, they would not have the time to refer to them! Its easy to throw stones and make assumptions based on little knowledge. Yes they are not perfect, but they do not have any agendas to ruin anyone's day. You should see how some of the other capbadge MCMs operate!! MCM Div would get an easier life by giving individuals what they want but need to be the honest broker and make decisions on a myriad of ever changing factors.

Quality, I had hardly finished my meal and you nearly gave me indigestion through laughter in an instant. However, I must commend the fact that despite being in full on belt fed rant mode, you manage to get some buzz words into it. Priceless Oki, calm down now for Montag is almost over. I was the victim of a couple of classic cock ups at records which really messed me about, but I stuck it and live to take the Mick. 24A rounds complete over..........

Back on thread (so Oki doesnt get told off by the MODS for youthful exuberance), just had a read of a thread saying there may be a skills shortfall due to hasty cutbacks, (scratches head and remembers options for change), so the OP may have better odds now ??

Not 100% sure of the OPs chances but would think that the previous advice to join the TA was pretty good and will show signs of willing and help with currency. Also, the way things are going, you may just have a headstart on a fair few others in it....

Firstly any update from the OP would be good.

Get your arse to the local sign up ship out office and see what they say, they will give you the definitive on what is available. You may get a chance to get back in but not nec REME (if you fancy a change).

I wouldn't even dare guess your chances, however if you don't ask you won't get!!
