Bit of a bone question but still, it's bugging me.

I would imagine if your AFCO Recruiter knew your situation, he'd probably be reluctant to send you if you weren't up to scratch on your running at the moment (purely based on your injury btw Liam, as I know you can smash out a good para 1.5e'r) I can't see any problem, in fact it may go in your favor that your taking the initiative to push ADSC forward a couple of weeks, based on you actually wanting to do better than your current situation with your injury and what not.

Give them a bell tomorrow and see what they think? No harm in a quick phone call. I suppose it'll be yourself who'll feel a bit gutted pushing it forward though :(

I know the south west should be ASDC lichfield mate im in bristol and im off to lichfield when i finally get a date, maybe your choice of regiment changes that tho,

    From Army Website:
Generally speaking, candidates from the South of England and East Anglia will go to Pirbright, Surrey; from Wales, the midlands and some southern counties it will be Lichfield, Staffordshire. Candidates from Scotland and northern England will go to Penicuik near Edinburgh and those who live in Northern Ireland will go to Belfast.

i see your off to Pirbright..
my recruiter told me i might be taking my 14weeks there - do you know what its like at all?

The Recruiter said it was nothing and shouldn't be problem in regards to the tooth, so im holding onto that otherwise It'll do my nut in whilst waiting for word back. Might be a bit of a wim, but im happy to take his word for it

Ive never been to Pirbright myself, thats where my ADSC and Phase 1 will be taking place, then my Phase 2 takes place at Aldershot for a bit then up to Leconfield for the rest. Been reading a few similar, some slightly varied threads about ADSC, but I'm yet to actually read one about Pirbright. I'm guessing its one of those things you have to experience for yourself I suppose.

Pirbright's info section on The Army website:

Looking forward to it though..!! :D

What are your job choices btw mate?

ahhh nice - well i hope everything works out for you !
i can't take this waiting anymore - i think ive probably managed to grind my teeth down to half the size they used to be. :(

    RAMC - Combat medical technician,
    Royal artillery - AS90 Gunner
    IT & Comms.

For, maybe not obvious reasons i can't be a regular soldier - if i was male i would!
I really want the CMT job mind, but we'll see what happens - i know RA are on hold, but they were pushing to get me in as a junior ASAP??
anyone know whats going on there?

As for Punk_trooper - im southwest aswell, im guessing most of us are going to Pirbright?
    i dont know..

    whats everyone elses job options??

Sigs is a good fast entry line of work. My recruiter said Comms Systems thingie is best. But I dunno. Prefer tanks myself.
