Yeah, I remember my brother having a similar incident when he was joining the plod!

Saying that, I should've probably worried when he queried whether I had seen a military doctor before. Then he went on to ask "May I tick 'No' in these boxes?" - I had to explain, "No, you only answer those questions if you have seen a military doctor in the past..". Didn't really instill much confidence in me..
Then when another family member went to him about pains in her legs, he replied "I'm not sure about the cause, but I get something that sounds exactly the same!".
Is it obvious that I want a new doctor? :P

obviously a sh!t doctor!!! i dont think it can be stressed enough that the hang-ups in the med process are generally the civi docs, i was phoning my AFCO everyday and it wasnt even the army's fault!
And yes smiler i will hold a grudge against civi docs forever more!! :D :D :D
Im traumatised i tell you!!!!!Excuses are like Arseholes: Everybodys got one!
No, I thought I'd balance my goods on my head, yes i'd like a fcuking bag.

Mary isn't in - so I spoke to her cover. All she had to do was look on her computer..
At first she tried telling me that the forms had been sent off the second of June, then I had to explain that they had sent back a request for more information. She seemed a bit confused and said it hasn't been logged with them yet... she'll have to ask my doctor and then give me a ring at some point. *sigh* Why can I see this getting rather messy?!

Very happy with my GP, I gave him the forms yesterday and was hoping he would fill them in then, but he told me to leave them with him. I came away a little put down, thinking about the possibility of weeks of waiting. Then he called me a 9am this morning and told me they were ready for collection! Good stuff, im in work later... so I will have to run these down to the AFCO first thing in the morning. Then it's just a matter of ADSC clearing them (fingers crossed). I have pre-selection a week on friday but I think im going to have to cancel for a later one because i've still got a bit of sore leg and haven't been able to train in running. Hope they don't mind too much.
You, you and you, panic. The rest of you, come with me.

Asked about why ADSC ask for more info, as like I mentioned I was a tad worried about them asking for more info based on my Med Forms being filled in without my Med History, but apparently its only really when they want more info on something you've answered yes to. Everything was 'No' on mine, except 'one tooth taken out over 5 years ago', but that was it, so that put my mind at rest a bit.
Also asked how long roughly it would take for them to come back all clear so I can get cracking with the Interview stage. He said if I haven't heard anything in 4 weeks, give them a call, but I WILL be phoning them every week from today for an update on it though
Would like everything in place and all done including a pass over in Pirbright ADSC, but as I said I won't be able to get on an intake till earliest late February next year, but have some excellent news on the monotonous phone monkey'ville job front though. I tend to find when im not at work im more active in my training routine and no beer no junk food thing ive got going on. So after a good bit of saving (thanks to giving up going out for a few drinks every week) ive got enough doshlings for my current spend including everything else, for the next 8 months :D and a prospect of laboring throughout the summer with a friend of the family for more than im actually earning now. And as im leaving on good terms with my current phone monkey job, they've said im welcome back anytime, so its a safety net should something go tits up with my entry. A safety I really don't want to fall into, but a safety net never the less. So enough money, the prospect of earning more than I earn as in fill before Phase 1 and more time to be active in my Training and Eating Routine...!! Good times!!
