Im 17, not 18 until next June so got a while to get in lol. Applied around 3 months ago got my ADSC next thursday.

Depends what you go for i think with the germany posting, the regiment i want to join is currently based in Celle, Germany so i guess there is a quite high chance of me getting posted there.

Started my application September 07, had my BARB around October sent medical forms off, doctor was being a cu*t trying to say i had asthma when i hadn't, had to send off a letter saying the army could view my medical records. Then the Christmas time came, got my interview around May 08, went for selection June 3rd. Got knocked back on the medical now the doctors taking the piss 'attempting' to sort it out. Going to ring the doctors tomorrow see what progress they haven't made, hopefully if all goes well the next selection i get I'll atleast get the chance to attempt the fitness tests.

Oh and i'm 17, 18 in June as well.

Exactly 1 year after first thinking in joining I decided it was time to go through that door and sign. After getting the needed BARB points for my job joice I realised I could actually do this. Filling the medical forms and passing the 1.5 mile run is next, then selection. Then, growing a set to actually cope training with a bunch of teenagers and proving to myself I can do this.

Im waiting out the next couple of weeks until my next selection date in November. I handed in my application form in mid July, sorted out my meds, and went to pre-selection course in August (11:21 run-time, 11 heaves, average on team tasks, very strong on ice-breaker). Got given a selection date for the 23rd of September, but I got deferred for having a heart murmur and was told by my recruiter that I couldn't go to another selection until my braces were removed (was anyone else told this; I thought you could go through selection and phase 1 with braces on). I was lucky enough to have a heart murmur scan with a young blond doctor the same week, and to skip the queue at my orthodontists centre to have my braces removed the next week.
So far, not too bad. Im 17, 18 next moth. Anyone else going for Communication System Engineer?

I just got offered my first interview this morning!! I applied around 5 months ago (2 months were spent messing around with the doctors trying to get my rg8's sorted!). Really getting my head down now as I have a week til the interview. I will be attending in a suit and polished shoes!
