Doing pre selection will prepare you for the real thing, that way you wont be as nervous and have to ask questions about what to expect. you get deferred 6 months if you fail so you need to be prepared.
Hopefully I'll have selection first week of may, got 3 weeks to keep training and I'll go for a test run with my recruiter.

Depends on the individual I feel. I bypassed pre-selection and only had two weeks to prepare for the real thing and I still passed with an 'A'. If you try your best and show some get-up-and-go, you'll be fine.

Tell them that next time you need to see them. Most of them are so busy they'd rather have a spare 30 mins than £60 of tedious form filling.

:D Hahah, thats pretty much what my recruiter said. Wasnt so much of a problem, but my application then got held up in the post-christmas catch up so it took a while longer to go through.

What was the problem with your hand? Just wondering because I've got mine in a cast after fracturing a couple of the metacarpals. Didn't think it would have too much of an impact beyond forcing me to lay off the weights for a month/6 weeks or so while the bones heal but if its going to lead to complications down the line with my application it'd be good to get a heads up as my first interview (at local AFCO) is on the 16th of this month.

    Hi all

First time posting in here. Im not far along the proccess at all yet. Got my BARB on the 20th April. Not long now but i just want to get it out of the way so i can concentrate on ADSC and the interviews. Going for Infantry so the BARB results wont really change my career choices.
