From my experience it will depend on how busy the medical bods are - I waited two weeks from recieving my medical forms, to having them cleared.

The AFCO contacted me to advise that my forms were clear and to arrange an interview.

You can expect to attend at least one interview before you are put forward for selection. Generally speaking, most people will be interviewed by their recruiter and a senior recruiter before being put forward for ADSC.

    Hope that's helpful.

To all you that had to wait for your med docs at the doctors to just be filled in...

Is it acceptable to keep phoning the doctors up to ask them if they had been done yet?

and does it look bad on an application if it takes weeks to get the med docs back to the afco?

    cheers

I phoned every day for two weeks. Got them back - he'd missed a section. Took them back same day and got them back two days later. Now en-route to the AFCO.

I think the recepitionists hate me now; tough shit . Obviously had an effect due to the quicker turnaround second time

I was given two envelopes one of which was sealed and went inside the other which was sent back to my careers office. I spoke to my recruiting officer and he sent it off ok but they lost my optitions report which I had to send again. Now they are on annual leave and still feel like a mushroom.

The doctor that is dealing with my form only comes in after 3, so I have to wait til 3ish to phone them, but by this time I dont have time to go and get it to take back to the afco, so I'm waiting all day really to see if they done it.

It's that time of the day, so i'll give them a call

My docter was a pain in the arrse as i booked the appiontment and he spent 10mins complaining it will take him ages to fill out. I told him he could have done it in the time he spent b*tching about it. Then it took me a week of phone calls for the admin staff to release it because they wanted to make sure they would get paid for doing it.
