got my pre-selection tomorrow. my recruiter is a bit of a tool and keeps forgetting to give me stuff. like my med docs for example! what do i need for this?

Working two shiite jobs (air con tech, abattior) so some time early next year i'll have the money to move to London and start the process from scratch. Hope the recruitment process doesn't take as long for me as its taken others on here....

The longest part of the whole process is getting back the medical documents from the doctor, this can take ages. It took me since march because i got deffered on my medical at selection but now i start basic in january. Good luck with your application.

done the initial form, and BARB test, medical docs came back all good on tuesday, and baisc skills today at 2pm, (wednesday), so fingers crossed!!

From start to where I am now, 7 months. All the medical stuff added 2 months to that. I have passed selection and am now waiting to start phase 1 which will be around April, so lets call it 10 months total for me.

Anyone thinking that's a long time, think about the long run! Nearly a year of waiting for a career that will set you for life! Had one guy at selection who said he will give up now because he got deferred for 3 months at selection!

i went in to office first on 26th of september had my BARB and basic tests on the 7th of October (passed them, dont know scores of them the guy never told or showed me) im going for paras but he encouraged me to look at engineering and things of that nature, i sharply declared i wanted to be a para and nothing else but he still wont let it go! handed medical forms to doctor on the 8th and 3 weeks later he called me asking me to confirm on of my answers, so he still hadnt done them...presuming they were sent off then as he said they were going to be its been almost 2 months since i started the process and im waiting for a reply saying medical was A OK and i can have an interview! its so s'#T havingto wait to do a job they need people to do when your so willing...bloody bureaucracy!

Applied online 12 months ago, doctor lost medical forms for 2 months and then medically differed for 4 months, ringing recruiting officer today to get a date for oath and phase 1 :D

i hope that isnt happening to me!!!! ill ring the office today or tomra
