Re: Do i have a chance?
did you go and see that tiny little woman down in LDN Callum (the specialist)
i did and she told me to fuck off....(slightly more elequently)...so now i cant join. Everyone who i have told about why i cant join thinks its an absolute bullsh*t reason, as do I. However, there is nothing i can do about it.
Good luck fella!

Yes mate i did, she said in no uncertain terms the same then got the call off my recruiter about my current situation of going to see GP to make sure its gone then i will get my basic date if all goes well, but this same woman is going to review my file again once i have been to my GP, at first i thought this was because i was going infantry.

Re: Do i have a chance?
My excema has fully gone now thats the problem, when i saw the specialist it was still there, why i have to go see my GP who in all respect only knows 4 words of english so i cant explain my problem to him.
Just_me - mild excema shouldnt be a problem, but it is as are alot of other silly things, some guy on my ADSC got knocked back because he had a cauliflower ear from rugby. In my opinion the physical standards are too low and the med standards are too high, fit determined guys getting knocked back from silly reasons that wont prevent them doing their job.

Re: Do i have a chance?
No I was wondering I used to have excema and if I scratch really hard and persistently it will come back but I have never thought of it as a problem - and it won't be!
I agree with you about the standards although I still trying to meet up with the physical ones !

Re: Do i have a chance?
my problem was eczema aswell mate....the little woman was having non of my lies.....and said she would have to deffer me if not permenantly write me off......
I am currently T.A and have never had any problems....which pissed me off even more...because apparently i will now be discharged from T.A but shhhh and hopefully no one will find out.
regards the med standards too high and fitness to low i agree to a degree....i got the quickest run time and some decent lift weights compared to those who were running 14 mins and still got in. However your fitness can be improved once your in, your med standards cannot so...
I am still bitter about the whole thing because now i am stuck in civi street surrounded by Cnuts
