Is this not a bit extreme as it wasn't debilitating and didn't keep me off work. just took a few weeks to get better fully! Plus it was an upper back injury, not lower.

Is there any point me appealing? 6 months i could maybe handle, but a year is just insane.
Went to the docs, she said it was a trivial thing i would have been better not coming to the doctors about so she is writing a letter (at £30 out of my pocket) saying this and that it was a one off due to lifting something awkwardly. just a muscle strain if that. So yea any luck if i put a backdated diary with all the training i have been doing?

Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

Read the above JSP.... I seem to think there is a three year thing... but I might be wrong.

    Either way good luck.

When you completed your medical form it contained all the items that would prevent you/ delay you from joining. A supporting letter from your doctor may help depending on curcumstances, good luck

    Right,

Very pissed off, annoyed and upset due to the let i got through from lichfield, this morning, saying i have been classed P8 (Permenantly unsuitable).

The reason they have failed me is due to having juvenile arthritus in my knees when i was 3-5 years old. (Didnt even know i had it till it came up on the report).

In the letter it says i can appeal against the decision. Does anyone know the process for a appeal? do i need to go to my GP and get somekind of test done to show i havent got arthritus anymore?

    Cheers

Ouch!! good look in your appeal mate harsh. Can you actually cure arthritus though? Isn't it a bone disease?

Its a joints disease and there is things that help cure it. Get onto your doctor if he's still alive and beg him to try and change his report! If its possible.

Re: All MEDICAL chat & queries in here please.

Just finished filling in my part of the med forms and it talks of dental problems, now it's purely cosmetic but i have two significant chips on my front teeth due to an accident when i was younger. It requires a crown on both but it is a purely cosmetic treatment, should i put this down even though it causes me no problem or discomfort? It has not been sorted due to not being able to fork out £300 in one go for te work

I also broke my toe last year (December) should i put this down even though i've past the 6 month mark as stated in my initial app form?

dont think your teeth are a problem but you should be upfront about your toe, press home to your doc that there have been no problems since the break. Book a double appointment with your doc and get him to complete the forms there and then, thats what my dad did, you know then what the doc is putting on your forms, good luck :D
