Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
after doing a few weeks of gettin 16 mins or there abouts for 2 miles, i went up the local track and tested my first timed 1.5 mile run and got 11.28 which im happy with so far just puching on harder towards a goal of reducing this by 1min!

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
cheers for the encouragement speedybham, did my warm up and 10 mins of using a skipping rope and then went for a run around the block 3 times just now (approx 0.6 miles once around), calfs hurt a bit but still managed to shave 5sec off my best 2 mile time now 15.45! i can see the progression coming through slowly but surely.. so hopefully not long until i can get to ADSC!

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
keep it up beebs. when i started i was at 14-15 mins for 1.5 miles. on sunday i did 1.2-1.3 miles in 9.45 and forgot to check at the 1.5 mile stage but am hoping for 11-12 mins time and tomorrow i have pre-adsc so am hoping with everyone else around there will be the extra oomph for me to push on a bit harder and get a respectable time. keep knocking at it
i know i am nothing better than seeing weight fall off and knowing your getting fitter.

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
i`m hoping if i get a mid 11mins - low 12min they`ll put me through for selection...considering it`ll be about a month till selection gives me time to get a good minute if not more off. have to see how it goes though
is anyone aware if you get told if you passed or failed the pre-selection ?

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
Well, big improvement all round for me. Last pre-selection it was 13.27 (shocking I know). Ran my mile and a half yesterday, after doing roughly 40 mins of running up and down hills and got a time of 11 minutes dead. Faltered towards the end, would like to think I could get 10:30 if i really applied myself.
Hopefully though, I am now fit enough to get a decent time at pre-selection and pass it. Gotta wait two weeks though. Oh well, another hill run tomorrow

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
to avoid sending total mongers to selection which wastes money and time. however the odd one or two that slip through the net fail rather well. Hillbilly (forgot your real name you little tramp) if you are out there mate I am sorry for laughing but f*ck me it was funny when you got a nosebleed in the icebreaker. enjoy lads, run your hearts out and one day you can beat the infantry and laugh at the wannabe paras wearing your black beret.
