Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
im running it in 7.50, no trick tbh it just sort of happens if u train enough you will find that your run time will go down about 30 secs a run! it is good when you are running at selection or in basic training because you have people to race and you can use someone as your pacemaker, u will know when you are running to fast and the addreniline normaly allows you to run that extra bit faster on that last 200m! good luck

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
Differs for everyone. I do it by keeping a fast pace for the first half, and sprinting my bollocks of for the return lap (I run a "to and back" route since thats what it's like at my ADSC.)

i just did a mile and half in 13.11, which could be better i no..
considering i only started training on monday tho im pretty impressed, ive been running all week, do a mile in about 7 minutes... 50 sit ups and NO push ups or heaves... which is really annoying, but i was really weak before i started trainin and now im liftin about 10kg i no its not much, but ive never exercised like this before and im improving prettty fast... im joinin the rlc and just waiting for my medical to get done... any advice on run times and heaves

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
Two 7 miles and Two five miles? You have lost the fecking plot, build up to 3 to 4 miles and once at that start introducing circuit training and fartlek.
Or don't listen to us lot who the majority don't have a fecking clue and get to the gym and ask a personal trainer for a proper plan tailored to your body and performance. :D

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
lol how is the lass expected to run 7 miles? if she was able to do that then sods law would say that the lass was able to smash the 1.5 mile run in a better time? Im only running up to 5 miles and im hitting 9 minute 54, but i've got the requested pre-adsc on august the 27th and real selection on the 14th september so im expecting to smash 9 minute 30 for the pre and 9 min 15 for the real one :D
Hows your training going mikes?

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
Not too bad i awarded myself a week off after passing adsc, and got a new 4 mile route which goes down the seafront near mine, a lot more enjoyable than looking at houses whilst running lol.
Just got a cross trainer where i live now so il be using that on the days i dont run as a way too keep up the cardio without hammering my knee's too much.
Just the long wait for catterick now :("Knowing is not enough,
