Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
Went out on Tuesday, previous timed run, a few weeks earlier was about 11.57 mins. First A to B run was 9.47, return B to A was 11.47. Had about 2 mins rest between runs.
Was fooking impressed with it tbh, never been a strong runner at all, just got to bring the return run time down, thats the one im concentrating on. Also worked out that the track I thought was 1.5 mile is actually 1.75 mile.

I will be running as fast as my legs can do it believe me, although I know it's gonna be bad. Keep being told the adrenaline will get me through it!

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
i hate the run with a passion m8 but all ya gota think bout is its less than 10 mins of hard work and plus wen ur competeing ur attitude changes to the run..mine does any way i hate running on my own but if iv got competion il do really well...ie when i do that 1.5 run i compete with everyone and try and beat them.. all i do is get to the front of the pack and keep looking behind ya and just try and lose them it makes me do realy well.

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
lofty you must have a slack recruiter then lol...there was 2 groups there today..some from leicester some from northants. i did 5 laps and 1/4 of the way round my thigh pinged..was on for a bloody 11 minute time aswell :(.
pissed the jerry can walk thingy majig and i was told my icebreaker was excellent. so all in all i`m fairly happy just wish my thigh would stop being a niggle. think it may have been because i have been working on my upper leg stregnth recently alot using a little machine at gym which trains and tones your upper thighs.
and lol! one of the pre selection staff was a girl called bev...my ex`s best mate .....only noticed it was her when she mentioned to the group were she was from. i`m on the next pre-selection aswell on march 15th so hopefullynext will be toll free
fastest time of the day was a 9.52 done by a lad who dont do any traininga nd smokes like a trooper.. joinin the 9/12L aswell

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
real happy today, not sure of the reasons for smashing my time today but did a timed 1.5 in my residential area, previous best 11.28, now managed a 9.55!!!! not sure if it is me carrying less weight..eg not eating for a good 2 hours before my run/staying well hydrated all day or less traffic but hey ho still real pleased with my time and hopefully keep it up!
it did seem as if i was going slower however my stopwatch is giving me 9.55 which i will gladly take! keep this up i should be heading straight towards ADSC in no time!APPLIED 21st Jan

Kosbie,
It's ok fella, as soon as I wrote it, I looked at your post and realised that my questions had, infact been answered.George W. Bush: "For every fatal shooting, there were roughly three non-fatal shootings. And, folks, this is unacceptable in America. It's just unacceptable. And we're going to do something about it"

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
Your Ice breaker was one of the best there. My run was 12mins summit which I'm happy with. I was second quickest out of the girls so I'm pleased with that and I even beat some of the boys. Think I'm gonna start doing a 800m ish warm up when I next time it in stead of just running 1.5miles and timing it. Still need to work on my upper body strength though. Just got to wait for selection dates now.

Re: Be Honest.......what's your 1.5 mile run time?
Templar, theres a running programme in the fitness thread, try and stick to that. It will improve your running stamina and bring your time down. It's a 2 mile run but the first half mile is a warm up, done at round a 15min/mile pace
