Just out of interest did you drink any caffeine drinks or fizzy pop a day or two before you went? (Tea, coffee etc)

No I only drink Volvic water and maybe the odd coca cola sometime's but before I went to selection all I done before the medical was drink like 4 bottles of water.

The hospital done the ECG and the trace and everything was how it should be. The doctor at ADSC said it looked more like nerves that was causing it I was very nervous and my blood pressure was actually sitting at 180 no joke . According to a chart I was looking at 180 is near death .

How long did you to wait between getting deferred and going back?

Exact same thing happened to me at Adsc with heart murmur. The doc heard something after I did 10 (perfect form, ahem) press ups. Went to cardio next day and got ECG and everything done and was fine, the noise the doc heard doesnt effect me in any way.
2nd time round at Adsc - 2 months later - the doc said its still there but doesn't matter cos cardio passed me

Got deferred today at Pirbright for a Bunion apparently. Didn't even know I had it and got to wait for a date to see an Army Specialist. Tried explaining that it's never caused me any issues on countless endurance hikes 60km + etc, but nada. Dr said I could carry on with selection, and do it all in house, then went back to the corporal and got told to get changed and go home.

    Confused dot com!

I understand obv if they find something like a heart murmur they need to check it. But in my own opinion its a time waster. I am trying for AAC and app the last time there was only like 1 or 2 spaces available and there was 5 of us for tht job so I probs will be waiting a long time for a job now.
