Would you turn up to any job interview in a track suit?

Suit at all time not having your balls felt or getting up a sweat - although im sure for some that's one and the same.

At lichfield, only 3 got to do more than eye exam before lunch. Doc exam is strides at most. There will be more than enough time to change.

In honesty, you will never get a bollocking or marked down for turning up in a suit but you might in a track suit.

There was one lad on my Selection that turned up in a track suit. The Corporals never took their eyes off him for the 2 days. They said that as he'd turned up for a job interview in a tracksuit he had to do better than most just to pass to make up for it.

We had a lad turn up in a tracksuit as well, CPL said it wasn't ideal but that it was better than turning up in a suit without your top button down up and shirt untucked...he then starred very hard a this little chubby kid who looked dreadful in his suit.

So yeah, go suited and booted and do it properly else they'll think you are trying to impress but without putting any effort it.

Now, if career offices send applicants to their closest ADSCs, I essentially have a choice of which ADSC to go to. As far as I know, there are 4 ADSCs, Pirbright (near London), Lichfield (near Birmingham), Glencourse (in Scotland), and Belfast (in Ireland). As I can not work in UK, I will have to live off of money I earned in Canada for up to 6 months, so I am trying to reduce that time to the minimum, and here comes the question: Which ADSCs are the least busy ones? In other words: Which ADSCs should have the least waiting times to go for selection (given medical forms etc... are all good)?

I looked at UK population density and it would seem that Glencourse and Belfast should be quicker, especially Belfast. Is that so? Can anyone confirm?

P.S. It is really AWESOME that there is a website like this one, I am sure I will have tons of questions.
Well my careers office is in Victoria central London. I started the application in August 2011 and i was at ADSC Pirbright in October 2011. Between that time i obviously had the BARB but i only had to have one interview. When i went to Pirbright in oct i was deferred for 1 month so i was loaded onto the next possible ADSC date once my deferral was up and that was January 19 2012.

So im guessing it's about 2 months? Well at least for me.

    I see.That was rather fast, wasn't it?

Here is the link to Army Jobs on facebook: Army Jobs - The Recruitment Process | Facebook

So I guess your steps 5 and 6 (Recruiter interview and confirmatory interview) got combined into 1?

Also, How long was it between your ADSC and the previous step (Confirmatory interview).

I actually looked at some ADSC dates from people on this forum and from Facebook Army Jobs page and it seems that Lichfield is the fastest ADSC, with roughly 2-3 weeks wait between Interview (the one after pre-selection) and ADSC, Pirbright seems pretty fast too, despite that both are located in the most populated areas of UK (I guess they have the process sorted). Glencorse seems to be the slowest, with some people waiting 2 months. There is very little information about Belfast ADSC.

Any of you guys went through ADSC in Belfast? How long was the wait between interview and ADSC?

May I know what were you deferred for? If it is not something personal of course.
