Run, run and run some more, my ex was a Psi with the Rmr and all we did prior to me going on a course was run over long distance with a lot of gradient work, it was if you believe it or not quiet fun after your shins stopped burning!

Apparently this was one of the 'sickeners' that were employed on selection for 21/23 in the 80's (another was the leaking bucket). Although I'd imagine all concerned would have looked depressed at the time - it was the candidates who opted to actually wait for the relief transport who were given their bus fair home.

If you want this as much as you say, why do your actions completely contradict it? At what point did you think, ''hmm, ya know what I want it so bad but I think giving up and going back to my old ways and getting fat again sounds better?''
Giving up on something hard is fucking easy so stop being a pussy and get your arse down the gym and begin the baby steps toward what you apparently want. Don't come to this forum with excuses because as you've probably already read, they will not only be ignored but they shall be mocked. Do you truly think you are the only one who has other responsibilities in life?
You could say I was at the opposite end of the spectrum when I began the application process. I was underweight, under muscled and well out of shape. I was about 9 1/2 stone and when I ran for about half a mile I had to stop, completely fked. I couldn't do 10 press ups without my arms giving out. But a year or two later and I've passed selection with an A grade and am going into basic this year.
Don't give up or you've failed at life.Barb - Passed.
Numeracy/Literacy - Passed.
ADSC Glencorse - Passed with A grade.
Phase 1 training - 4/06/12
