Yeah guy's and girls don 't worry if you get a low score first time. Nerves can play a big part in any testing like this. There was a lad got a 1st on maths degree and didn't get the score he required first time. 2nd time he apparantly smashed it although they wouldn't tell me what he scored. I got what I needed for all of the jobs and the recruiter said at that stage it's the only thing that matters. Anyway good luck with your future barbs and dont worry if someone posts they got a higher score than you, what matters is you get what you need ;)

Got 98 when i first applied a long while ago. Only my maths gcse being a D rather than a C meant that a few jobs were crossed out with the recruiters pen of power haha. BARB is something that so many people seem to panic about. Fivetodo is my guru of choice as he knows his stuff.being one of those secretive cave dwelling recruiters ;) they have mythic powers i tell ya

This may sound strange to some people but what kept me calm and focused throughout the BARB test, interviews and selection process was the understanding that no matter how daunting they may seem at the time they are nothing compared to the potentially stressful and terrifying experiences I may face during operational deployments.

I just kept telling myself that compared to what I will be doing once I get in the application process is nothing to get stressed about.

Does that make any sense?

I just never could understand why its such a nerve shaker for people. I think its because so many people talk of the BARB as a really bad test. I enjoyed it 1st time.
