from what my mate told me its pretty much the same, he was stayin up till gone 11 and gettin up at 5:30-6 particualy the first 6 weeks. but then you get weekends and can catch up on your sleep a bit more

I just got my ITC Catterick Date, I leave on sunday, I got told there was only 6 spots for the Royal Regiment and it was for C Grade Passes because some people pulled out already, anyone else starting on Monday?

did you ask to go for 5 rifles or did the army choose for you? i know you get to choose a top 3 but the final say goes with the army.

No 5 rifles wasn't my 1st choice, you pick 2 preferences, but at the end of the day there only preferences not choices so be prepared to be base anywere because if your not then the rifles and even the army is not for you.

Anyone know what happenins over xmas if your in p1 just going into p2 do ye get a few days of or is it like man up fuck your home life..

yeah cause it was probarly kept "in-house", if it goes official then its the boot as a few joes have found out recently

someone in my platoon smashed other lad in with the little towel rail from next to the bed spaces after a night out in darlo. The lad was unconscious and in a bad way, provo's came from the guard room and the lad got taken away by the RMP's and he didn't get the boot. shocking in my eyes, as i was one of the ones who heard it happening and broke it up. The lad who was attacked spent a few nights in the hospital and had a broken cheek bone as far as i know.

EVERYONE gets time off over Christmas, two weeks IIRC. I think if you do end up being there over christmas the 2 weeks leave then is in place of your 2 week mid-course leave. so you may get your two weeks off early, or late. My platoon only had 1 weeks off at mid-course so we could pass out a week early the day before christmas leave, where as the platoon below me had no leave until christmas at which point they were about week 20 i think
