Same here, I use my 30 quid New Balance trainers, muddy, dirty, smelly, and they get me around on my runs no problem. Just gotta have a bit of luck really.
You, you and you, panic. The rest of you, come with me.

Steer clear of most of the shite they sell you at inflated prices in the likes of JD Sports etc, if you are going to bother spending decent money on running trainers then try a specialist website like www.startfitness.co.uk (as recommended the decent Runners magazines etc.
Generally i have always stuck to using Asics, Brooks, New Balance (tend to be geared towards Marathon distance) and amongst the best are Saucony.
But if you are not feeling any discomfort and are hitting the target you go with the best pair of road slappers you have :D

Re: FITNESS Qs & ADSC 1.5 mile run times- READ BEFORE ASKING
Heres a tip i taught myself today: DONT GO RUNNING AN HOUR AFTER EATING!! i did a 1.5 miles walk/jog warm up letting off farts and burping all the way, rested for 30 seconds then started my 1.5 mile run home and blew out after 45 seconds with a stitch and back pains! :(
