The best bit of advice i can give you is buy a good iron.
i mean, not just a 'good' one, an 80 quid fucker with lazer sights and port and starboard attachments, go nuts, really. It'll make your life a lot easier, other than that just switch on and put in effort and you'll all find pirbright a breeze.
times sucked, but the good really outweighed the bad and for basic training it was actually really enjoyable.
butlins with early starts.

Just got back from a trip to the local hospital.
Dcotors are Fucktards
When it first happened I had apparently fractured it, 5 mins later it was dislocated, then a torn ligament and now after my latest trip it is merely strained. If you think education is expensive, try ignorance - Derek Bok

Very. It's not the only time that Monstrose Minor Injuries Unit has fucked up diagnosing me. Staved a finger at work, work made me go to the doc and apparently I had broken it :S. Needless trip to Ninewells hospital later, pointless xray and "Yeah, there's nothing wrong with you, go home...".
