Had a couple of goes up 'Heartbreak Hill' today. I read about it on here before coming and I used to wonder what it was like. It lives up to it's name.

I'd also suggest you get your fitness up as much as possible before coming. Don't make the mistake I did and let it slide, as the PTIs won't go easy for any lads that aren't as fit as they should be.

apparantly, i was told that chefs jobs arnt shit, its the conditions that are shite so no one wants to go into that field! chefs provide grub, therefore i love them

Jackrum, quick bone question.

Whats the crack with digi cameras? ive seen endless photo's on facebook from lads in basic and obviously there's PERSEC to deal with, so have they said anything in the first few weeks?

also, if its that bone, feel free to tell me to bore off

cos not many want the job hence why i called it a shite trade not as in rubbish job wasn't trying to insult anyone chefs are crucial

Even chef's are waiting now.my career adviser said they done a big recruitment drive for chef's.she thinks people are going in as chef then changing trade at phase 1.she told me that they won't be able too.i think there will be some unhappy chef's for at least 4 years
