everybody does the 1.5 mile run at the start and its like the medical apart from you get "extra pt" at the end same on pretty much all pt lessons until week 3.week 2 you do a 3 mile fartlek up hills such as concrete hill and heartbreak hill and so far in week 3 we have done a 4 mile run,swimming and battle field skills,lots of people get injured as well

does mean fi your not good in the 1.5 mile run u get discharged from basic?

I'm sure someone can answer this for a fact, however i think the physical tests at the beginning of training are input tests so they can see what times and numbers your getting on entry to phase 1 then tested again on eventual exiting of phase 1.

Like i said, this is just my view on it... I'm sure there's others that can offer facts.

I've been told I'm going to Pirbright 18/01/2010. Can anyone who's currently there/has passed out tell me what to expect from the first couple of weeks?

anyone whos done there oath, what happens in it, i no you swear your oath of alligence, but are you questioned about your job choice etc??

no just the a2 with iron sights SUSAT is coming in but not until late 2010
