Moral of the story, LGSmith? Join the (superior) Royal Armoured Corps ;)
And if you're lucky enough, join as a Household Cavalryman!

Good lad, better not be a scummy Life Guard though. Bassingbourn is good. It's shite while you're there, but looking back on it it wasn't that bad. 14 weeks of BS is worth it for the pass out parade at the end of it!

You can say that again. Bassingbourn is fun, crap, boring, long and quick
but yeh the final 2days is worth it. then you go home think about it all and laugh.
Now i am waiting to get beasted all over again

I finally got the all clear from the consultant on monday and now just waiting for a date for phase 1! Happy Days
... just wondering if anyone has got there date yet who is going in for the same trade etc... im joining RE as a chippy and passed selection in november with an A grade! I know its a long shot but any dates from people who passed around the same time and that would be great.
cheers
