Passing out in 4 days can't wait to put ATR B behind me, us REME have only got the weekend off before having to be at SEME bordon on monday morning, not too bad as I can't wait to start phase 2.

I've just heard from someone who has just started basic , saying that your spot in the the reg you are joining is only confurmed once at ATR B, apparently some people may put in to other reg's. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Yep you have chosen a corp which is what you will be recruited in to but your chosen regiment is up to the army, you only state a preference.

Seen you lads cutting about this week, lots of drill for Friday ;)

Just coming up to the end of week 2 and so far it's been pretty hectic, not really had much free time at all as you're always doing lessons, briefs, PT, etc. during the day then at night in the first couple of weeks there's like insurance briefs and stuff which takes up a good chunk of time, then you get back to the block and it's straight onto admin and before you know it it's lights out. Got the evening off tonight tho so just in the naafi for a bit, then getting admin squared away when I get back! It's been good so far but very busy.

And silly scot that was just for us RAC lads. Apparently we were the first intake of lads to be put forward for their chosen cap badges,so we all got em.

It's a possibility but most regiments operate Scimitar recconaissance vehicle's 1 of the 5 squadrons in 2rtr operate it but to be honest i wouldn't worry about it.
