8.02 once upon a time as mentioned earlier in this thread. Managed it in around 10.00 yesterday after dislocating my left ankle and fracturing my fibula at the beginning of August.

I'm 28 and those much younger who aren't in rehab should be easily beating this with minimal training and a healthy lifestyle. I was pissed as a fart all weekend too.

its above the 9 minute mark for paras. something like9.15 or somet but they allow 9.20!? i might be abit off on the numbers but at ADSC its definately just above 9 mins.
cheers pal ill have it down as a job choice anyway so if i make the grade then ill more than likely go for it im more worried about the 1 ya do at prac after 3.5 mile squadded, i might try it this weekend to see how much my time changes.
The run at PRAC was not as bad as i expected. Try getting some hill sprints in your training schedule, this really helps your recovery time

This is good to know. So you've been to PRAC, did you pass it?
Did anyone get made to look like an idiot doing their ice breaker like they did at ADSC? Like when they didn't know someting about the regiment they were joining? Any other tips for PRAC in general?

Personally i found the steeplechase the hardest, but some of the guys i was with found the run harder. The steeplechase is hard because when you start your already soaked through and your boots are full of water, from the squadded run round.

Yeah passed PRAC last week. It was harder than i had expected to be honest, but i enjoyed it all the same.

My advice is to run loads before you go (5 milers preferably & hill sprints), eat loads while your at catterick (you will need the energy) and don't act like a kn0b while your there. Oh...and take plenty of blister plasters and tape to put on your feet before the steeplechase. Everyone had blisters apart from me, because i came well stocked up

Hope all go's well for you mate

Cool, I can't wait. This is going to be so much fun. Wait, you get a grade from PRAC aswell?
