No one at the AFCO is going to think your an Idiot for wearing a suit to your first visit, you don't have to either, but if it makes you feel more comfortable/presentable, then why not? and for all they know you've just waked in from your day job in an office.

Don't sweat it yet mate. They always put on the letters what dress your required to wear, and willl always say 'please dress for a formal interview' when its required

You don't have to wear a suit on your initial visit. If you want to then obviously go ahead.

Save the suit nicely pressed for the interview

Hmm would rather it be only a month

You got your army number etc?

I'm just really happy I've only got 8weeks of my job left, before I take a month to chill out at home haha get plenty of R and R before basic

Had my army number about 1 month ago. i start in 1 month and 1 week. :D

i got mine about a month ago & already got it memorised :D but iv had my mobile number for 4 years and still dont know it lol

So hey Again Guys, Went down the recruitment office today, Was showed a video and all the rest, im sure you know what, Got my forms, which i have started to fill out.

Oh and i didnt go in a shirt and tie, was bit busy at work today, So went in with my work cloths on, covered in paint

..

Does anyone that has their phase 1 date know anything about a briefing day? Also it could involve some fitness?

I haven't got it confirmed yet but I was told I'd be put on one a month or 2 before I start basic..

Anyone know what happens on these briefing days?
