How long is it after getting a letter with your date before you get all the other info?
Like isn't there a book civi to soldier etc?
Do you get that at your oath. I was also told there will be a briefing day as well at some point before, anyone else got that?Royal Engineers

I did my oath today. took about an hour in all. Half hour to go through your contract again with the WO and then any family come in and you do your oath which thakes about 5 mins then a quick speel from your recruiter and off you go.

I think it's normally a couple of months before you go that you start recieving al the paperwork and that. My recruiter told me that I would have to attend a briefing aswell. Have you recieved a letter confirming your date?

Re: Where are you with your application process?-From app to P1
I only got my letter because I called in on the same day the dates come through, so my recruiter just gave me the letter.
Think it will probably come out in the post at some point too.Royal Engineers

If I was to say I only really want to do this job theres nothing else I want to do what will they tell me?

Re: Never asked to choose 3 jobs?
The Army is an employer, not a charitable organisation for the unemployed. If there are no availabilities for the job you're after, tough luck; either wait or bugger off. The recruiter is there to identify the potential of the applicant and suggest (not impose) jobs which best suit him/her for the benefit of the army. I assume that one should have enough cogs in his head to ultimately make a decision based on personal research, including info given by recruiter. That's were ARRSE comes in, people should use this forum to gather info from people who are doing or who have done the job.

Re: Never asked to choose 3 jobs?
Ok so, I want to change my 3 job choices, in time for my 2nd and final interview. Do you think my ACIO will let me? and, would I have to come in for an interview about my new choices?. If not come my final interview, could I turn up on the day and tell them what I want to do?
