I didnt do any weight training before selection and managed to push out 7 heaves, and i would say im probly a bit over the average weight and height but about average strength, anyone should be able to bang out atleast 4 naturaly, why would he cancle your selection because you cant do 4 heaves?

its ment to be best effort ffs.

lol thats shit i only managed 2 heaves on my selection and i still passed it

Individual recruiters/ACIOs have their own criteria to drive people. It's not official, but if you want your app to go ahead, you better do it - and they're not just doing it to be a bastard either.

Its a bit of a fussy kick in the balls aye, but as Grizzly said, he's got nothing to gain by being a total cunt so im guessing he's got a plan in mind that will help all his Potential Recruits In the long run. He's given me quite a good, detailed plan for tackling the icebreaker/interviews that he's obviously thought long and hard about so il approach the heaves as being in my best interests to improve on. Not the end of the world, just means a much longer wait for a basic date once i pass

You'll be fine mate. If you're bothered enough to come onto an internet forum asking people for as much advice as possible then you are definitely more switched on than most of the people that go to selection. Just put effort into getting better at heaves, etc. and you'll smash it!!

agreed ash, the surprising thing to me is 99% of recruits dont even know Arrse exists, which show's they didnt even make a small amount of research into the army :P
