Pre selection tommorrow, nervous as hell but also excited all the same. Was told itll just be the 1.5 mile and jerry can test which makes me feel better as my max press ups are under at 30-35 although i do these after weights or same day as lifting day whereas ive given myself 2 rest days not inc tommorrow but making prpgress on 100 push up challenge.
My letter says to bring tracky bottom/top will everyone be in them as i read before some turn up in jeans etc? Just i need buy some if so isnt something id really wear.

I did my Pre Selection yesterday i got 4 heaves, passed the jerry can test and did my run in 10 minutes 52 seconds. I'm just awaiting a phone call now saying if i've passed or not but saying im not pooing myself in an understatement. Because i got told that the run has to be under 11 minutes but then in 10 minutes 30 so i've no idea if my runs satisfactory or not ? any ideas ? also my army knowledge test was a shocker i should have revised more but my icebreaker went well... hope i've passed pre selection !

I passed selection with a run time not far off yours, 10.40 i think mine was and got 16 heaves. And got a high B grade, Just work on your heaves as i saw alot of people struggle on those aim for 10 if you think you can. Team tasks saw a few people with referals so make sure you are vocal even if its just to encourage if you can't think of imput to the taks itself. Make yourself heard but not overly loud. Thats all i can say really. Good luck!

After the fitness side we went back to AFCO Manchester, and were given a sheet with questions such as, how long is the notice you have to serve when leaving the army, and name 5 things you will learn once in phase one, i didnt have a problem with a a few but i just should have revised more because there easy questions to find out but i just didnt look properly then after that we did our icebreakers.

Oh right, dont think we did that i went to glencourse for selection. In the final interview i was asked those questions i guess it was in preperation for that. What i did was took my job choice sheet with me on the train and just gave it a few read throughs. And keep it at the top of your bag during selection with your other bits just to read when ever you have a few mins waiting about. Thats what i did as i didnt do much reading up before i went as i should have. Good luck mate, im sure you will have passed.
